Introduction

This report presents findings of an eight month research project commissioned by the West Bromwich African-Caribbean Resource Centre to:

- Investigate the reasons why African-Caribbean pupils are disproportionately represented in the school exclusion statistics in Sandwell

- Make recommendations for an intervention programme to address the issue of disproportionate exclusions amongst African Caribbean pupils
